Eclair's to be Served Fresh to HTC Hero (Android 2.0 update)

HTC gave a Twitter feed last night that eluded to them working on updating the Sense UI for the HTC Hero to support Android 2.0. That's better news than I had actually expected to hear, I thought I'd be tardy to the party!

From HTC on Twitter:
The rumors are true! Hero will be getting an Eclair update. We ask for your patience as we update Sense for the fancy new Android OS.

Well that's awesome news! Android 2.0 probably won't bring much additional functionality to the Sense UI, since many of the features are already incorporated. We are however looking forward to the free Google GPS that should be included with the update.
